Activating Your Valley First Check Cards

  • Call the credit union during business hours at (209) 549-8500 or (559) 275-3944.
  • Call Valleyline 24-hours a day at (209) 524-5132 or (800) 266-8328.

Security Tips

  • Sign the back of your card.
  • If your card is lost or stolen, immediately call the Credit Union at (209) 549-8500 during regular business hours, and (800) 754-4128 after hours.
  • Always check the total of each transaction before you sign the sales slip, and never a blank sales slip (one that doesn't have a dollar amount).
  • Keep your PIN a secret. Don't give it out to anyone, not even Valley First employees, and never carry it with your Valley First Check Card.
  • Always shield the ATM keypad so that people waiting to use the ATM cannot watch you enter your PIN.
  • Be sure to keep receipts of all Valley First Check Card purchases and record them in your checkbook.
  • Verify your Valley First Check Card transaction amounts through Home Banking, eStatements or monthly mailed statement.
