Good news! Under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) you can now request and obtain a free credit report once every 12 months from each of the three major consumer credit reporting companies. Click to read full article.

For your convenience, Equifax, Experian and TransUnion have created the website www.AnnualCreditReport.com where you can make one request and receive all three reports (one from each company). There are other websites that may offer free credit reports, however this is the only site that is authorized by Equifax, Experian and TransUnion for this purpose.

The three credit reports can also be requested by calling 1-877-322-8228, or by completing and mailing an Annual Credit Report Request Form to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281.

This is a great service that may help detect fraudulent use of your credit and/or your identity. Be sure to take advantage of this free service and share it with family and friends.
