OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. How to Enter the Contest:
a. The KAT Country 103 – Valley First Credit Union, “Home For The Holidays” contest will begin on November 16th, 2009 at approximately 7AM Pacific Time (“PT”) and end on December 17th, 2009 at 7:20AM PT.
b. There are two (2) modes of entry to participate in the contest:
1) ON-LOCATION REGISTRATION: Listeners will enter to win by entry form supplied at Valley First Credit Union location(s) 3401 Dale Road-Modesto, CA 95356, 1419 J Street-Modesto, CA 95354-1449 East F Street-Oakdale, CA 95361, 2655 Geer Road-Turlock, CA 95382, 3434 West Shaw Avenue-Fresno, CA 93711, 324 West Yosemite-Madera, CA 93637. On the official entry form provided, completely fill out your first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and date of birth and drop it in the entry box provided. KAT COUNTRY 103 is not responsible for lost, stolen, mangled, illegible, incomplete or late entries. All on-location entries will be collected at 3PM PT on the day before the drawing.
2) ON-AIR REGISTRATION: Listeners may also qualify on the air when the Home For The Holidays “Q to call” plays. Be the 13th caller after the cue to call KAT COUNTRY 103’s contest line at (209) 766 5103, (209) 956-5103, or (800) 499-5103 and qualify to win the Grand Prize, upon confirmation of eligibility (the “Qualifier.”) Each on-air qualifier will receive a $103.00 dollar prize from Valley First Credit Union. Each Qualifier will be required to provide his or her first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and date of birth when he or she calls. On-air contesting will run Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM PT. KAT COUNTRY 103 is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological glitches that may prevent an individual from completing his or her telephone call.
c. One (1) entry per person, at each Valley First Credit Union location. One (1) on-air entry per person. Multiple entries will lead to disqualification.
2. Eligibility Restrictions:
a. The contest is open to all KAT COUNTRY 103 listeners who are 18 years of age or older and legally reside in California. Employees of KAT COUNTRY 103 , its licensee, Citadel Broadcasting Company, their affiliated entities, advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Modesto-Stockton, Sacramento or San Francisco area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any contest.
c. Winner(s) must have a legal California Drivers License or identification card. Winner(s) must sign Winner and Traveler Releases and traveling companion(s) of winner(s) must sign a Travel Release before prize will be awarded.
3. Prizes:
a. There will be four (4) prizes awarded. One (1) prize will be awarded each week starting the week of November 23rdf or four (4) weeks during this contest on the “DJ Walker in the Morning” show. Each prize consists of a trip for four (4) people taken to and from anywhere in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii). Total trip cost for four must not exceed $2,000.00. Winner will be notified by Jerry Musson in the KAT COUNTRY 103 Promotions Dept. The winner will be put in contact with Segale Travel Service in Stockton. Valley First Credit Union has contracted them for the travel arrangements. Any other expenses will be solely the responsibility of the winners. All trips MUST be taken by January 31, 2010. Winners and their traveling companions will be responsible for securing all appropriate travel documents. Each winner must travel with his or her companion on the same itinerary.
b. All appropriate paperwork must be filled out before winner takes his or her trip. Paperwork can be picked up at the office of KAT COUNTRY 103 -1581 Cummins Dr. #135, Modesto, CA 95358.
c. There is cash out option for all grand prize winners. Winner may collect a $1,003.00 cash prize as a substitute for our grand prize. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. Selection of Winners:
a. Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.
b. At approximately 7:20 AM PT, one (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received via the methods in section 1 above, on November 25th, December 3rd, 10th and 17th, 2009. There will be a total of four (4) winners selected.
c. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
d. Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be contacted on November 25th, December 3rd, 10th and 17th, 2009 by telephone. If the winner(s) cannot be reached within two (2) days after the prize is awarded, an alternate winner will be selected via random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
5. Conditions:
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.
b. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if any) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize, KAT COUNTRY 103, solely at its discretion, may require contest winners (and their guests or travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release agreeing to hold KAT COUNTRY 103, its licensee, Citadel Broadcasting Company, their affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.
d. KAT COUNTRY 103, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process.
e. KAT COUNTRY 103 reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, which will become effective upon announcement.
f. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of KAT COUNTRY 103.
g. KAT COUNTRY 103 is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
