After 29 years of credit union service, Hank Barrett, President/CEO announced his retirement at the Annual Meeting held April 30, 2019. “During my time at the credit union we have experienced tremendous growth while maintaining our dedication and commitment to the service we provide our members. I’m excited for the future of the credit union and the successor the Board has chosen.”

Valley First Credit Union's Board of Directors named Kathryn Davis as new Chief Executive Officer effective May 20, 2019.  "We want to thank Hank for his many years of dedicated service and we appreciate his support during this transition," stated Fred Cruz, Chair of Valley First Credit Union's Board of Directors. 

The change has been a well-planned and deliberate process. “As we prepared for the retirement of Hank Barrett, the Board of Directors has worked very thoughtfully over the last year to fill the position of President/CEO. We developed a CEO leadership transition plan, to facilitate the process and ensure due diligence was given to this important selection. We came together as an entire Board to determine our direction.  It was a very thorough process and the candidates we interviewed were exceptional,” said Mr. Cruz.

Please join the credit union in welcoming our new President/CEO, Kathryn Davis, who brings more than 20 years of diversified credit union executive management experience, most recently as the Chief Executive Officer of BALANCE, a non-profit, social enterprise serving over 200,000 members nationwide with financial counseling services. “Valley First Credit Union has a treasured, meaningful past with an exciting and bright future,” said Davis.  She added, “This is an important time for Valley First, and I look forward to building upon this rich foundation. Under my leadership we will continue to pursue our number one goalserving our membership and communities.”
